It’s a hot and humid day today in South Coast Massachusetts. We’re proud to say our Providence and Fall River Data Centers are cooler than the Arctic. All Systems Are Go!
We’re currently experiencing telephone issues on all our lines. Please email support@meganet.net or visit http://support.meganet.net for support. We apologize for the inconvenience and will update as soon as the issue is resolved.
Yesterday afternoon, our VOIP Voiceway service customers experienced several dropped calls and disconnects. This started at approximately 12:00 pm EST and continued until 12:25 pm EST. The issue was identified and isolated to one of our upstream providers that we originate and terminate voice traffic through. We have since made adjustments to the call routing so this circumstance should not happen again. As with these types of issues, there is always a chance that a call can be dropped before alternate routing takes over, but the current adjustments should minimize disruptions.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

Web Services has determined that a certain customer’s e-commerce application contained a vulnerability which allowed the injection of a defacement script. This script defaced index files (home pages) of other sites on the server before it was halted by system admins last night. The vulnerability has been removed and the defaced sites have been restored from archived backups. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
A group of websites were defaced last night, the affected sites are currently being restored. Our system admins are currently investigating and will release an RFO shortly. Customer intervention is not necessary and sites will be restored by automated process currently running on the affected server.
We will have the site back up and running shortly.
